Die cast/Pot metal is composed of various metals, with a large percentage being aluminum casting.  The higher the concentration of Aluminum casting used causes the metal to have many pinholes.  When we apply electrical currents to the metal during the plating process the metal has a tendency to breathe, known as bleeding, this causes the pinholes to become more exposed.  Because of the metals' nature the part may have to be reworked several times in order to acheive an acceptable finish.  Unfortunately we are unable to guarantee a show quality finish on die cast/pot metal.
